The following is a listing of breeders who are members of the RagaMuffin Cat Lovers Society, Inc:
Note: Please beware that you are getting a 'true' RagaMuffin. If you are uncertain - ask for proof of registration on the parents of your new kitten and/or to see the litter registration of your kitten. Remember, though - the litter registration may be applied for and not yet received - in this case simply ask to see the registration on the parents to verify there is a RagaMuffin parent. The Persian and Ragdoll are allowed 'outcrosses' - thus one parent is allowed to be either of these breeds - but one parent MUST be a RagaMuffin in order to register the kittens as RagaMuffins. There are some RagaMuffin breeders who are now using the Siberian cat as an outcross. This is NOT allowed in the CFA and the offspring are NOT truly RagaMuffins. ACFA has accepted the outcross as of May 1, 2006, but RCLS, Inc. founders oppose this use of outcrossing, and the improper use of outcrossing before any approvals were given. So, please beware when looking for a ragamuffin. Ask for CFA (Cat Fanciers Association) registrations!
